DAVE SLEDGE

Sister Sledge ft. Sledgendary

Dave carries a legacy of rhythm and soul in his veins. As the son of Debbie Sledge, Dave’s journey has been both a continuation of his family’s extraordinary legacy and a bold expression of his own artistic identity. Known for his electrifying moves as the group’s ‘Greatest Dancer’, Dave’s father, a student of music and movement, introduced him to the intricacies of stage presence and performance and the choreography and emotional storytelling from groups like The Temptations and The O’Jays.

Graduating from Arizona State University with a degree in Communication and Women & Gender Studies, education and personal growth have been central to David’s story. His studies, combined with years working in the behavioural health field, shaped his belief that music can be a tool for healing, empowerment, and self-expression.

Currently, David is focused on his upcoming House/Pop album and has released his single “Love in the Air”, continuing to define his own voice in the music world. With soulful vocals, dynamic production, and a dedication to connecting on a deeper level, David Young aka Sledge embodies a new generation of performers who honor the past while shaping the future. He believes music has the power to uplift, heal, and create community, and his work reflects that philosophy at every turn.

THADDEUS SLEDGE

Sister Sledge ft. Sledgendary

Thaddeus  was born into rhythm, discipline, and legacy. The son of the iconic Joan (Joni) Sledge of Sister Sledge, and Thaddeus Everett Whyte III, he grew up surrounded by melody and movement — his mother’s soulful harmonies and his father’s athletic drive shaping the rhythm of his world. His first steps, fittingly, were taken on stage during a soundcheck in Germany — a quiet prophecy of the path ahead.

Raised between music and motion, Thad explored every corner of rhythm — from the saxophone and drums to the pulse of the gridiron, where he followed in his father’s footsteps as an athlete. Yet, the music always called him home. Under his mother’s guidance, he learned not just how to perform, but how to understand music — its business, its language, its power to move hearts. His father’s influence grounded him, teaching focus, endurance, and the importance of perseverance — traits that would later fuel his artistry.

When he finally stepped onto the stage in 2016, the crowd in Glasgow didn’t just hear a voice — they felt a lineage. After the loss of his mother the following year, Thad turned grief into grace, continuing her legacy through his own sound: a blend of soul, spirit, and sincerity. His music stands as a bridge — between generations, between genres, between love and loss — reminding us that every note carries a story, and every story deserves to be sung.
